Started with sleeping in til 9 am. (Thanks, honey).

Seeing this always puts me in a good mood!

These never disappoint.

Do you need a reason for cake? It's one more excuse to have something for the kids to put whipped cream on!

Chicken Apple Salad. YUMMO! (Yummo courtesy of Rachel Ray).
At this point, Hayden hasn't realized his hair is sticking up or he'd be spazzing! Is he not cute or what! (Not biased at all).

Gimpy Dave giving Hayden's one and only golf club a try. He said it made for a nice putter. Does he get a handicap for a sprained ankle or for just being special? (You know what I mean, right Bex?)

Chillin' in the garage while the track is being constructed.
Who needs a pool? This is regular stuff at our house.
The end. Monday is just hours away.

Well, that all looks like fun! It's still quite chilly here, but at least the sun came out today. :)
Are those flowers from your back yard? I like the first purple ones, they are so colorful! And I love that the kids are just willing to get sprayed by the hose. YOU KNOW WHO would be screaming if I did that. And I love the one of Dave and Hayden in the garage. Studs.
Wish we could hang w/you for your spring break. If you get bored...get out the bucket of ice water. Worked for us.
BTW...liked the artsy shot of the salad...but I ordered artsy shots of CAKE!
What's it like being married to someone who is, special...
PPS...Dude, your driveway is huge. And awesome. Your driveway is like our cul-de-sac. No wonder we never come visit. My kids would never be happy coming back home!
Oh well. You may have long driveways and purple flowers, but we have deadly cacti and lethal scorpions. So take that. (Oh yea, and we do have movies under the stars, in the Biltmore pool...)
That gorgeous purple color and the sound of happy kids giggling and screaming on the tramp is a sure sign of spring. Can't wait for ours to come. Loved Dave and Hayden's track on the driveway; only a child's mind, right? I agree chalk is much simpler. Both your boys are handsome, even the one with the splint--or whatever.
Hey, we loved your lobster tale. How DO you find those cards?
No one has your gift for that.
Love ya! Happy spring!
Aaah, sunny skies, green grass, and no snow, I've forgotten what that's like. You have such a cute family too, love the photos.
Our break starts tomorrow, but I doubt it qualifies for the title of "spring" break when it's still below freezing 90% of the time...ya gotta love Minnesota!
What a happy day! I loved the laughter on the tramp! Children's laughter is my FAVORITE thing! I recorded Eliza just the other day, and I want to get all the rest of my children's laughter--that is one sound that I never want to forget!
So many great photos. Makes me miss you all even more...
Hi Deborah! Blast from the past, Summer here.
First...your family is beautiful. You are truly blessed. Second, totally jealous of your property backing up to open field (how nice that must be). Third, your blog cracks me up! Love it.
The video of your kids on the trampoline getting hosed down by Dave is awesome. I agree, there is nothing quite as nice as children's laughter. And I love the bike track, you might have Cal Trans planners on your hands ; )
Next time you hit that bag and think of Pres O, please give the bag one more nice shot from me.
Enjoy your spring break.
p.s. -Did Becca ever tell you that I thought you were like SO cool when we were groing up? I can tell you this now because I'm not a scared little 12 year old, totally intimated by her friend's big sister (lol!).
love your husband! laughed really hard as i realized what was happening about 10 seconds into the video (b/c i was beginning to wonder why the kids were jumping on the trampoline in their bathing suits...) he's my kind of dad. get the kids in a meshed-in enclosure and let 'em have it!!
